DHSA May 2015 Newsletter

DHSA Logo

Upcoming Events:

There are no official Mothers’ Meetings or field trips for May, due to the various “end of term” graduations, recitals, concerts, and other events around the valley. Never fear—it is almost time for our annual election/volunteer meeting! Come help us plan for the best DHSA year yet! See below for details!

Coming in June:

We will be having our Closing Social for homeschooling families on Monday, June 8th at Tully Park in Meridian from 11 am to 2 pm. Please bring finger foods/lunch items to share. DHSA will provide paper goods, water, and Popsicles!

DHSA Election/Volunteer Meeting has now been moved to:

Friday, June 12th 7 pm at Stacey Lytle’s home: 1298 North Cambrick Drive in Kuna

On Friday, June 12th, at 7 pm, we will be celebrating "I survived the homeschooling year!" for the moms! Whether you follow the traditional school year, or do school year round, homeschool moms work hard and we want to celebrate YOU! Come for fun, recognition of your job well done, goodies, chocolate, and an opportunity to get involved with our board for the 2015/2016 school year!

Our “election” meeting is not so much a traditional election as an opportunity for those who want to provide quality educational and social experiences for kids and moms (and dads!) to do so!

If you feel inspired to help with an event or two, create or assist with field trips throughout the year, run a game or activity at one of our parties, host a Mothers’ Meeting, start a playgroup or co-op, host a one-time class, or find a way for your teens to connect with other homeschooling teens---WE WANT YOU!

The following positions are open for the 2015/2016 year:

Presidency positions: President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary

 Coordinators/Committee volunteers:

Parties, Field Trips, PE, Teen group, Fairs (Science/Art/History/Literature), play groups, other interests as desired by YOU!!!!
