Welcome to the Deseret Homeschool Association!
The purpose of the Deseret Homeschool Association (DHSA) is to share resources, activities, and learning opportunities that edify and motivate parents and their children in their homeschooling journey. We exist to support parents who choose to educate their children in the home. DHSA does not endorse any particular homeschool method or curriculum.
Each month, members are sent the DHSA newsletter which includes information on activities and events sponsored by DHSA and other organizations in the Treasure Valley. The newsletter also includes articles relating to various aspects of homeschooling and resources available for homeschooling families.
The newsletter is available on our blog: http://deserethomeschool.blogspot.com and is updated regularly. We are also on Facebook.
DHSA offers monthly mothers’ meetings. These meetings are a great opportunity to meet and interact with other LDS homeschooling moms in the area. These meetings are prepared with the goal to edify, encourage, and support our members and boost their faith in themselves and their homeschooling endeavors.
The Deseret Homeschool Association was originally created as a support for LDS homeschooling families, however, families of all faiths are welcome and are not required to sign a statement of faith. Please be aware that all events and meetings are opened and closed with prayer, and that we speak openly about our experiences with our faith. We ask only that members and guests be respectful of these practices and experiences.
