Bring your kids and your favorite lunch item to share and join us for fun and relaxing in the park! Find us with the pink flamingos!
Water and paper goods will be provided. You may want to bring camp chairs or a blanket to comfortably spread out on!
DHSA’s 3rd Annual Literary (Marshmallow) Peep Show
When: Monday, April 13th, 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Where: Marissa Pineda’s home: 12028 W. Dynamite Ln. in Kuna
Here's how it works: Kids choose a favorite book and create a diorama or other artistic work recreating a scene or theme from said story, using whatever supplies you've got---including at least ONE marshmallow peep! Name your diorama (bonus brownie points for incorporating the word "peep" into it) and come show it off!
Kids are encouraged to share a little bit about their story or diorama as we will be set up in a "science fair" sort of way, but no formal presentations are required! Think of it as a book report through art and sugar! Kids may also want to bring the original book or concept art as a reference. Games, refreshments, and time to just hang, to follow!
Please RSVP via text or call Marissa at 208-841-1732 so we save you plenty of space for your creations!
Teen Activity: Brunch and Art
When: Saturday, April 18th, 10 am to Noon
Where: Marissa Pineda’s home: 12028 W. Dynamite Ln. in Kuna
Bring your favorite breakfast/lunch food to share. Once we’ve eaten, we’ll draw, paint, color, make play doh sculptures, make collages, whatever. Come show off your manga or origami skills—or just enjoy the ambience and camaraderie!
Mothers’ Meeting: Summer Resources and Year-Round Schooling Ideas!
When: Friday, April 24th 7-9 pm
Where: Heidi Fackrell’s home: 9480 W. Cascade St. in Boise (near Fairview and Maple Grove)
Maybe you follow a traditional school year, maybe you do school year-round—whatever you do, you’ll find some fun new ideas, activities, and places to go during the summer months! Bring your ideas to share as well! Refreshments and fellowship provided!

While the Secret Garden, The Fantasticks, and the Tempest are appropriate for all ages I suggest King Lear and Murder are for adults and teens only. If you, your friends, or family are interested attending, I will be posting dates in the next week. If you have a strong preference to go on Friday/Saturday nights as opposed to Thursday nights-- please message me at dhsa.news@gmail.com with “Shakespeare Tickets” in the subject line. Friday and Saturday tickets are more expensive. The tickets sell fast so be prepared!

Come listen to Laureen Simper and Stacie Thornton present "Introduction of Principles of Liberty" on April 24th at 7pm.
"Introduction to Principles of Liberty" outlines the 28 principles embedded within the Constitution, the Founders' "success formula" based on their thorough study & knowledge of history, past civilizations, and human nature. Learn the principles behind what George Washington called the "science of government," which, when applied, yields results that can be predicted and replicated. The news can leave us feeling helpless and hopeless. Studying eternal principles will leave you feeling empowered, joyful and hopeful!
This presentation will be held at the American Legion building located at 22 W. Broadway in Meridian (corner of Meridian Rd and Broadway). You can park behind the building, in front of the building and down Broadway Street.
