History Fair Fun!

Twenty-four kids of all ages participated in this year’s history fair on Oct. 22nd, at the Lake Hazel Branch Library in Boise. The kids were enthusiastic and clearly passionate about their chosen subjects. We had dioramas, written reports, clay and Lego models, poster board visuals, flip charts, and oral reports. Here’s a sampling of what we learned about: Michelangelo and the Sistine Chapel, World War II, Abraham Lincoln, the Statue of Liberty, the history of baking soda, homemakers turned politicians and health advocates, bridges, the Pony Express, a history of flags, pioneer times, and we even had a visit from Mark Twain! Great work kids and thanks for sharing! And we offer a huge thanks to Kimberly Wing for putting the event together and acting as MC!
