DHSA’s August Mother’s Meeting Notes

Hooray! What a fun time we had at the August Mother’s Mtg.!! Lot’s of momma’s, lot’s of great food, and lot’s of great ideas!!

Here’s a quick peek at what happened in case you couldn’t make it!

First of all we had a few Announcements:

*DHSA has a Face book page...find us and like us!

*If you have a personal blog, we can link it to DHSA’s blog… just send Nancy an email

*Please Please Please look for and cut out the little box tops…that’s how we are funding DHSA

*TEACH (a family co-op) has a new location at the Holy Nativity Church in Meridian

*Save the Date: Sept. 23rd homeschool family dance

*A new service group for LDS and non-LDS teens 16+ is beginning, Maria Trimble is heading it up

Then we had a great discussion about our meeting topic:

Do you Plan in Advance or by the Seat of Your Pants?

In a round robin type of approach, momma’s were able to share favorite curriculum picks and ideas for starting the new year including:

*Momma’s Inservice Day (like what the other teachers get)

WOW that’s quite a list…. A lot of discussion and opinions were shared about all of these products. It was good to re-connect after a busy summer and share ideas before jumping into our school year.
