Looking for LDS Homeschoolers in your neighborhood

LDS Homeschooling.org offers a unique service to the LDS homeschooling community. You register and then can search for and connect to other LDS homeschoolers in your area. You could meet for a park day, or start your own neighborhood co-op. You can search by Stake ensuring that the homeschoolers you might find are in 'your neck of the woods'. Along with a series of great links, ideas, and articles LDS Homeschooling.org is a great way to start connection with other LDS Homeschooling families.

LDS Homeschooling is fast becoming one of my favorite new blogs.I stumbled upon this blog and subscribed to it. The new posts arrive in my email inbox. They are always a nice treat and I have really enjoyed them. With 8 regular authors and a variety of guest authors, the content is always fresh.

Our goal is to provide home educators and teachers resources that bring life and depth to a student's study of reading and writing. Our feature product is Read With Me. This book contains the core principles of reading with purpose; we call this strategic reading. These strategies are taught through activities, writing prompts, unique ideas, literary terms and much more. Read With Me is a must have resource for any language arts educator.
Our line of literature study guides are crafted to elicit discussion, foster literary analysis and also inspire change. These are available in book form or digital download.

The National LDS Homeschool Association

Are you on their email list? I love the articles and especially the Homeschool Humor section. This Orem, UT based website and publication has only been around for 5 years now serving the LDS homeschoolers nation and worldwide. Started in 2004, this LDS homeschooling resource was long overdue, they mainly feature relevant articles, and a variety of ways to stay connected to other LDS homeschoolers. They feature LDS homeschool conference listings, which although few, are happening each year.

If you write consider submitting a homeschool article to them. They also publish homeschool photos and humor submissions. Have fun exploring this site! The National LDS Homeschool Association

Have you ever checked out this great LDS homeschool resource, The School of Abraham? The School of Abraham website is huge! You will not be disappointed spending some of your time online there. They do have their own educational philosophy that you can look into, but even if you don't school their way this site is still full of AMAZING resources for the LDS homeschooler.

One of my favorite resources offered on their site is the Storied Scriptures.  I am so grateful they took the time to organize this. I copy and paste the lists into Word, then print the whole list for each book of scriptures, trim the pages down and staple them together, and fold twice. They fit inside my scripture bag and are handy as we do family scripture time. They are organized in a sequential story format, skipping over sections that are not essential to understand the overall story. This is nice for keeping my younger kiddos interested. If you do narrrations, these are also great to use for drawn, oral, or written narrations after you read.

I also LOVE their resources for homeschooling Dads- Dads: The Ultimate Homeschoolers

On that note-My husband told me the other day, when he had a full day off during the week and helped with our homeschool that day, that I looked beautiful when I was teaching our children. So sweet!!
